HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Arresting. A HEPA
filter is defined as one which meets the standard of filtering
99.9% of particles down to 0.3 microns in size. A micron is one
millionth of a meter. Most airborne irritants in the home such as
dust and animal dander will be removed from the air by a HEPA air
